Negotiations On German Opel Factories Falter
At Opel again there are internal squabbles: At least the council lost its confidence in a quick agreement with the management at the current talks on the future of the automaker for the time being.
The future of the German Opel plants remains uncertain. The negotiations between staff and management for so-called Germany-plan has stalled, as explained in a works council and IG Metall on Thursday distributed notification to the employee. The responsibility for this situation, they move to the management. So be the management of interim CEO Thomas Sedran without concept and now "limited legal capacity."
An early agreement on a restructuring plan for the ailing manufacturer is unlikely. Here, the Bochum works council chair Rainer Einenkel a few days ago for the 26th October announced a profit. Meanwhile, however, the battle lines have hardened.
The management was not able to take up the long-proposals submitted by the employee. Additionally provides the Alliance of Opels parent General Motors (GM). With the French group PSA Peugeot-Citroen for discontent among the workforce It was "unclear" what effect will have the cooperation of Opel and the European production and development sites.
No commitments for securing employment in German plants
Even its own approach, with commitments to securing jobs for the German works, the team did not put on the table, criticized council and IG Metall. That applies to the production centers in Bochum, Eisenach and Kaiserslautern and Rüsselsheim as well as for the development Rüsselsheim and the Dudenhofen Test Center. Adam Opel AG declined to comment on the allegations: "Once a conclusion is reached, the company will inform the public."
After receipt of the existing treaties works to 2014 is safe. Until then layoffs are excluded. The company had gone with the offer in the negotiations to renew its commitment for another two years - but after the expiry of the current-generation Zafira possibly to run no other models more in Bochum from tape. In return, it should be discussed on cost reductions and growth concept by 2022, in addition to providing new models and engines as the production of other models such as Chevrolets brand in the Opel works.
Works Council maintained pressure
In this trade, want council and union involved so far. They call out to sites and employment commitments on the 2016th This in turn is likely to be a major hurdle for Sedran and management of the U.S. parent General Motors. Opel and suffers because of the slump in sales and a Europe struggling with costly excess capacity. The carmaker accumulates for years to losses and urgently needs to press the charges.
General Staff chief Wolfgang Schäfer-Klug meanwhile increased the pressure. He warned the management of the costs, if the parties do not reach an agreement later this month: "The management knows since June that the deferral of the pay increase of 4.3 percent until 10.31.2012 is limited." Then the company would the employees pay all at once later.
The trade union is in a hurry: The Tariff Commission of the IG Metall on 26th October advise on how to proceed.

Ducati 1199 Panigale

Kawasaki Ninja ZX10R, Honda Fireblade, Suzuki GSX-R1000, MV Agusta F4, Suzuki Hayabusa(price wise), Yamaha R1, BMW S1000RR.
Check out the trailer!
At the time of its release, Ducati 1199 Panigale had the worlds most powerful production twin-cylinder engine with maximum 195 horsepower at 10,750 rpm and 98.1 lb-ft torque at 9000 rpm. With its dry weight of 164kg/361.5lbs (188kg/415lbs curb weight), the 1199 has the highest power-to-weight and torque-to-weight ratios among production motorcycles. It is faster and lighter than a Confederate motorcycle, which are probably one of the most extreme American motorcycles.

The new Superquadro (oversquare) engine has a new valve timing system made of gears and chains which replaces the cam belt system on previous Ducati engines. The motorcycle also uses the engine as a stressed member which allows the overall frame of the machine to be much smaller and therefore lighter than a conventional frame.

The 1199 is also one of the first production sports motorcycles that features electronically adjustable suspension. Rebound and compression damping is adjusted electronically while pre-load is still adjusted manually. The 1199 also features an underfloor exhaust, where the exhaust system and mufflers are underneath the engine, as compared to under the seat on previous models, such as the 1198 and 1098. It will be sold in 3 variant- the base 1199, the 1199 S and the 1199 s tricolour with the special eye catching red white and green livery. Ducati also makes the Streetfighter, the Diavel, the Multistrada and the Monster.

2012 aston martin lagonda Review
2012 aston martin lagonda - Concept
Some luxury vehicles have pedigree and taste; some have one or the other. The new Aston Martin Lagonda concept doesn’t have much of the former and so lacks the latter, at least one automotive magazine has implored Aston Martin not to build it.
Nonetheless, the hulking SUV seen here is part of the plan to return the Lagonda nameplate to the world. Aston, in fact, hopes to aim the revived Lagonda name and its first SUV at all sorts of new markets inspired by the company’s new Middle Eastern ownership. That region, Russia and China have the biggest potential in the plan to build this sport-utility vehicle and to put it on sale in 2012.
The Lagonda concept shown at the Geneva Motor Show has some interesting underpinnings, at least. The SUV boasts a V-12 engine and is built on a Mercedes-Benz GL-Class platform–proof of the recent discussions between Aston and Benz that could have more supercar implications in the near future. Going forward, Aston insists that it’s studying new propulsion technologies like flexible fuels, diesels and hybrids–which surely, this mammoth SUV would need to appease the green customers in Europe, Japan and North America.
We’ll update you on the Lagonda project as more details emerge, and as the four-wheel drive, four-seater nears its planned 2012 introduction.
