Honda CRV Launched at RS 19 95 Lakhs
Honda Finally launched the New CRV in India.Honda first launched the CRV back in 2003 on India.Since that Honda sold 13,739 units of CRV in India.Honda CRV is one of the segment darling until couple of years back.Lack of diesel engine and High price tag decreases the CRV Popularity.Now Honda is coming back with fourth generation of CRV.
Honda launched CRV with two different engine options.Honda CRV is powered by 2.0 L i-VTEC engine which produces 156 PS of power and 190 Nm of torque.Second engine is the 2.4 L i-VTEC engine which makes 190 PS of power and 226 Nm of torque.2.0 L engine is mated to a 6 speed manual transmission or 5 speed Automatic transmission.while the 2.4 L engine is mated to 5 speed Automatic gearbox with paddle shifts behind the steering wheel.2.0 L engine is available only with 2 WD option while 2.4 L engine is offered with Real Time 4 WD system.Fuel efficiency for the 2.0 L engine is 13.7 Kmpl and 2.4 L engine gives 12 Kmpl.
Honda CRV is launched with 4 variants.Honda CRV 2.0 L Manual base offers Audio system with USB connectivity,Dual zone climate control,6 Airbags,Fog lamps and 17 inch Alloy wheels.Honda CRV 2.0 AT gives all the above features plus Hill start assist,Foot type parking system,5 speed automatic gearbox.Honda CRV 2.4 L AT offers 5 speed Automatic gear with paddle shifters,Sun roof,Chrome door handles,Head lamps with washer and Real time 4 WD drive system.Honda CRV 2.4 AT Full options offers all the above features plus 6.1 inch touch screen with navigation,music system with DVD player,Bluetooth with phone connectivity and Reverse Parking camera system.
Honda is offering two different body style packages for CRV.They are Inspire and Elegance.Inspire Body package offers chrome door visor,side running board,side step garnish,tail gate spoiler and Finisher exhaust Pipe. Elegance body package gives chrome finish on the grill,door,Tail gate and fog lamp enclosures.Honda brings CRV by CKD route.Honda CRV is assembled at Honda Greater Noida Plant.So the new CRV is almost 2 Lakhs Cheaper than the outgoing model.Honda Hopes the aggressive pricing will attract more customers for CRV.But Honda is not bringing the diesel CRV to India any time soon.
